أدان مركز الدفاع عن الحريات والحقوق المدنية “حريات” وبأشد العبارات القرار الامريكي الصادر عن وزارة الخزانة الأمريكية بفرض عقوبات على ثلاث مؤسسات حقوقية فلسطينية هي الحق ومركز الميزان لحقوق الإنسان والمركز الفلسطيني لحقوق الانسان، لدورها الحقوقي التاريخي في حماية حقوق الإنسان الفلسطيني وتوثيق جرائم الاحتلال على امتداد عقود من الزمن، ونظرا لتعاظم هذا الدور أمام حجم جرائم الاحتلال التي وصفتها محكمة العدل الدولية بجريمة الابادة الجماعية.
وأصدرت محكمة الجنايات الدولية مذكرات اعتقال بحق قادة الاحتلال بشبهة ارتكابهم جرائم حرب وضد الانسانية.
إن هذه العقوبات تشكل اعتداء صارخا على القانون الدولي والدولي الإنساني وتعبر عن انحياز سافر الى جانب الدولة القائمة بالاحتلال وتؤكد شراكتها لهذا الاحتلال بعدوانه المتواصل على قطاع غزة، وهو يعبر عن ازدواجية معايير واضحة للجميع دفعت أحرار العالم الى اعلاء صوتهم مع الحق الفلسطيني وضد هذه الازدواجية.
وهي كذلك اعتداء على المجتمع المدني الفلسطيني ومؤسساته الحقوقية التي تلعب دورا تاريخيا واستثنائيا في هذه المرحلة لملاحقة مجرمي الحرب وفضح وتعرية سلوكهم الاجرامي، والعمل على محاسبتهم أمام المحكمة الجنائية الدولية والقضاء الدولي، وتدعو لوقف العدوان وجريمة الابادة الجماعية ومواجهة جريمة التجويع التي تدخل أخطر مراحلها في هذه الاثناء.
ان حريات، وهو يجدد إدانته لقرار الادارة الامريكية، يطالبها بالتراجع الفوري عن هذه القرارات الجائرة، ويهيب بالمجتمع الدولي ومؤسسات المجتمع المدني في جميع أنحاء العالم لإعلاء صوته في حماية المجتمع المدني الفلسطيني والضغط الفعال على الادارة الأمريكية للتراجع عن قرارها ومغادرة سياسة ازدواجية المعايير المكشوفة أمام الرأي العام العالمي.

Hurryyat: Israeli Decision to Close Al-Karama Crossing Is Collective Punishment of the Palestinian People, Amounting to a War Crime
The Center for Defense of Liberties and Civil Rights – “Hurryyat” – condemns the decision of
the Israeli occupation authorities to close the Al-Karama Crossing in both directions starting
today, Wednesday 24 September 2025, until further notice. Hurryyat considers this arbitrary
decision part of the collective punishment policy pursued by the Israeli occupation against the
Palestinian people in general, and in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, in particular.
The Center affirms that this is not the first time the occupation authorities have imposed such
collective punishments, which they have applied comprehensively in the West Bank and Gaza
since the beginning of the Israeli occupation in 1967, during the first and second Intifadas, and
again in 2014 under the pretext of “security reasons.” However, this time the authorities are
imposing such collective punishment on the Palestinian people for political reasons. This poses
serious risks to the lives of Palestinian citizens and to their natural right to freedom of movement
and travel, leading to grave violations of other fundamental civil rights such as the rights to
work, education, medical treatment, pilgrimage, and family contact.
Hurryyat considers that this Israeli decision, issued by the Israeli government and its Prime
Minister Netanyahu, results from the international community’s silence regarding the series of
collective punishments and grave violations committed by the occupation authorities and settler
militias. These include their ongoing attacks on the Palestinian people’s natural right to move
freely, the planting of the Palestinian land with military checkpoints and iron gates, and the
transformation of Palestinian villages, camps, and cities into cantons and small prisons-
effectively turning the entire West Bank into one large prison.
In light of this reality- which cuts the West Bank into isolated sections, severing its north from its
south and its center from Jerusalem with more than a thousand military checkpoints and iron
gates- and in view of this unjust decision by the Israeli government that turns the West Bank,
including Jerusalem, into a massive prison, Hurryyat stresses that this constitutes a grave
violation of the human rights of the Palestinian people.
The Center calls on the United Nations and its Secretary-General, the international community,
the European Union, and international human rights organizations to condemn this Israeli policy
and to take the necessary legal measures and practical steps to compel the Israeli government to
immediately revoke this unjust decision and to remove all military checkpoints and iron gates
that restrict the Palestinian people’s freedom of movement and violate their fundamental rights to
life, work, education, and medical care.
